This policy applies only to Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services arranged by the Company where legally authorized.
1. SCOPE OF NEMT SERVICES:
NEMT services provided through the Company are limited strictly to transportation only. Neither the Company nor its drivers:
a. Provide medical care,
b. Provide medical supervision,
c. Offer medical advice or treatment.
2. DRIVER ROLE:
Drivers are responsible only for safely transporting passengers from pickup to drop-off locations as scheduled. Drivers are not trained or authorized to assess medical conditions or make medical decisions.
3. EMERGENCIES:
If a medical emergency occurs during a trip, the driver’s role is limited to:
a. Safely stopping the vehicle,
b. Contacting emergency services.
Drivers do not provide medical intervention.
4. INSURANCE AND BILLING:
NEMT trips are subject to third-party insurance approval, rules, and billing requirements. The Company does not guarantee:
a. Insurance authorization,
b. Insurance reimbursement,
c. Payment timelines.
Payment depends on insurer determination and compliance with insurer requirements.
5. JURISDICTIONAL LIMITATIONS:
NEMT services are offered only in jurisdictions where permitted by law and applicable insurance rules. Availability may vary by location.
6. PASSENGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Passengers or their authorized representatives are responsible for:
a. Providing accurate trip information,
b. Being ready at scheduled pickup times,
Following applicable safety requirements.
7. PRIVACY:
Limited health-related information may be handled solely to coordinate NEMT services and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Details are addressed in the Company’s Privacy Policy.
8. NO MEDICAL RELIANCE:
Passengers acknowledge that transportation services arranged through the Company are not a substitute for medical care and should not be relied upon for medical decisions.
